I enjoyed a Bowen treatment after work yesterday. It is so important to ensure your own wellbeing, so that you be effective at work, and be there for your loved ones at home.
Franklin Covey in his book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" calls this habit 'Sharpen the Saw'. When you 'Sharpen the Saw' by looking after yourself with some form of self care, this refreshes your mind and body to be more effective in the other areas of your life. There are lots of ways that I do this, but here are just a few:
Reading a book
Meeting a friend for a coffee or meal
Going for a walk
Practising yoga
Looking after my foster kittens
How do you ensure that you regularly 'sharpen your saw"?
