🤔 Are you ready for a new leadership challenge in 2025?
January is a great time to take stock of everything in your life. In addition to considering your physical health and wellbeing, it’s a fantastic time to consider your professional goals and ambitions.
Leadership roles in education are usually advertised in the spring term for a September start, so it’s a great time to consider whether you're ready to take your next step in leadership.
Here are some reflective questions to help you consider whether it could be time for a change:
❓ Are you happy and fulfilled in your current role? If you’re not entirely happy, what might need to change?
❓ What do you most enjoy in your current role? Could a new role allow you to concentrate more on this?
❓ What would your ideal next step be? Would it be within your current school/trust or elsewhere?
❓ What are your skills and experience? Do you have any gaps in your skills or experience that you might deliberately look to fill in the coming months?
❓ How might you positively influence colleagues and leaders to ensure that you are the ideal candidate for your dream next step?
Last year, several of the leaders I coach used their sessions to consider these questions and many more. The coaching sessions helped to support them and guide them towards achieving their career goals.
“Dear Claire, just getting in touch to say after our coaching session, I not only went to interview and received a job offer, but most importantly I have absolute clarity and peace that it was the right decision to accept it. Thank you so much.”
“Claire, I wanted to say thank you for last week – it really helped. I got the job!”
Whether you are a CEO, trust leader, headteacher or middle leader I can help you to decide on your next steps in leadership. Please DM me to arrange a free call to discuss your requirements.
