With 63% of teachers and leaders* saying that their work negatively affects their mental health, remember to take time to look after your wellbeing today.

The Mental Health Foundation has published a range of useful resources and articles to help with mental health in the workplace, including an article written especially for teachers. In a nutshell, the advice is:

😊 Plan in time for activities that lift your mood e.g. exercise, time with friends, self-care

😊 Keep up with basic good habits e.g. healthy eating, sleeping, watching your caffeine and alcohol intake.

😊 Share how you’re feeling with people you trust

😊 Share how you’re feeling with your line manager

😊 Keep things in perspective

😊 Find small moments for yourself

😊 Approach others with kindness and an open mind

😊 Note things you’re grateful for

🤔 How do you look after your mental health?

Join in the conversation and share your thoughts. I'd love to hear from you.
