Dream, dream, dream

🤔 Do you sometimes struggle to motivate your team?

🤔 Are you navigating through challenges which are impacting negatively on your culture?

🤔 Is your energy flagging?

If this resonates with you, I would suggest that you find time to revisit your vision - your dreams for your organisation (or your team's) future success. Use this collaboratively with your team to visualise and imagine how life will be different when you have achieved your goals. Imagine together what the journey will be like to along the way. What will be the wins along the way?

I've been using this strategy of dreaming with a couple of clients recently. It really helps inspire them to move forward positively with their teams. It's based on the Disney Strategy, originally coined by the NLP practitioner Robert Dilts in his book "Strategies of Genius, Volume One" (1995). This suggest that geniuses spend about a third of their time dreaming and being creative, a third of their time being realistic and practical, and the final third of their time being critical, anticipating barriers and overcoming these.

My feeling is that most of us spend more time in the realist and critic domains, and not enough time in the dreaming phase. If you can learn to dream big, and to really visualise your success, you are far more likely to experience greater gains.
