Happy new year!
With the Christmas holidays behind us, I hope that you are rested, invigorated and inspired to return to your leadership role. Whilst leading schools and trusts continues to be complex, I hope that 2025 is a happy, healthy and successful year for you and all of your team.
This year, my goals and ambitions are linked to a key word – connection. During 2025, I plan to work hard to reach out to connect with like-minded, values-led leaders. In addition to connecting with colleagues via social media, I will be increasing ways in which I can connect both virtually and face to face.
Connection is so important to us all. It is a fundamental part of relationships and belonging, which I believe has to be the foundation of highly-effective leadership. Whether we’re connecting with children, families, colleagues or external professionals, those relationships are key to ensuring that we are able to achieve success together.

I have a few spaces for 1:1 coaching available for leaders who would appreciate a safe, confidential space to discuss goals and challenges.
I am also actively seeking opportunities to connect with a wider audience. For example, I am presenting a workshop at an EDI conference at the University of Plymouth this month, as well as writing a guest blog for the Step Up Network.
