Background
I am a skilled coach, mentor and consultant with over 30 years’ experience in education. I have a track-record of effective leadership as senior leader, Headteacher, Executive Headteacher and as a Director of Education in a highly successful trust. I have also worked in advisory roles for Local Authorities and a Diocesan Education team.
Throughout my career, I have taken real satisfaction from enabling others to develop their leadership and practice and enjoy experiencing the flourishing of others. I am a person-centred leader and as Director of Education, I led on CPD, leadership development, school improvement and the people strategy, including talent management and succession planning.
As Director of Education/ Deputy CEO, I had responsibility for overseeing and line managing inclusion, safeguarding, estates, IT, Health and safety and Human Resources.
I have held a range of governance and trustee roles and am currently a Chair of Governors for a one form entry Church of England Primary School.
I have a Bachelors Degree (BA Hons), PGCE, Post Graduate Diploma in Education (integrated Masters Programme), National Professional Qualification in Headship (NPQH). I am a coach on the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership programme. I am currently studying for a Global EMCC Practitioner Award in Coaching (pending 2024). I am also a SIAMS inspector.
